Japan was the one who attacked first, without any real reason behind.

Lets face it, Mail on iphone blows when compared to blackberry. There is no security like blackberry has on top of the entirely inadequate mail program.
You can't search well beyond the most recent emails. on a blackberry you can search thousands of recent emails and it just works.

I do understand law.
In civil court....you are correct. In criminal court...no dice. In a criminal court the prosector has to prove that the defendant has violated the LETTER OF LAW. Clearly the seller didn't in this case.
Civil court judges have much more freedom to interpret law (and intent) than criminal.
You are correct. That's why this isn't a criminal case despite the cry to send this seller to jail.

Wasn't it Jean-Marie Hullot who created Xcode and Interface Builder?
A coworker tells me Bertrand wrote Interface Builder as part of his thesis before being hired at NeXT - imagine where Mac and iOS development would be today without him!

Well, it looks like it wasn't a bug after all. It was coded as per the patent application. :D
Unfortunately not :)

Why not? The USA for example has only 4 million miles of roads. A car with driver + passenger + some decent equipment should be able to map say 10 miles per hour, at a cost of $50 per hour.
That's exactly what OpenStreetMap does. I know that it isn't widely used within the US (as most American hate OpenSource because it hurts the industry, see Firefox for instance: 70% marketshare in Europe, almost none in the US) but for example in some countries and parts of Europe OSM is much better than Nateq or Teleatlas maps as OSM users basically track *everything*, even the smallest trails which is just great for hiking or mountainbiking.

I wonder how many of these posts are trolls? I haven't had any issues whatsoever with 4.3.1. I also didn't have any problems with 4.3; battery life has been absolutely stellar and call performance actually improved in 4.3.1.
The timing of all these "bitching" posts just seems suspicious.

So buy a capacitive stylus already and quit whining about "finger painting".
Stylus-focused tablets failed in no small part because of the easily-lost one-more-thing-to-fiddle-with can't-function-without-it stylus requirement. So, Apple built a tablet that didn't need it. Insofar as a few people do need a stylus for limited applications, third parties make them. Buy one if you need it; nobody is stopping you but you.

Hi All
I am currently a PC user, but am interested in switching to Mac. I m looking at getting the Mac Mini (1.42Ghz, 512MB RAM, 80GB HD, SuperDrive Spec)
How will the above spec machine deal with very basic video editing? I have a DVD Cam Corder and will want to 'join' video clips with music tracks added.... nothing too serious.
I have to choose between the above Mac or a AMD Athlon 64 (+3400) PC System (with 1GB Ram and 200BG HD)
Any help would be appreciated
Scott

Running geektool. Most of the desktops you see are running it to display computer information, weather, music, etc.
I'm also using a black dock with the icons.
See this thread for Geektool (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=628023&highlight=geektool)
See this link for black dock (http://usingmac.com/2007/11/8/leopard-invisible-dock-and-black-dock)
I thought you had gotten rid of the dock but kept the apps and whatnot and just had a black strip(geektool pic probably). Didn't realize that the dock just blended in with the black strip.

Help! Email was fine this morning; now it's eating each email as I open it (in all mailboxes). The first time it let me read the email, but then started eating the reply, line by line. Now it's eating them in a flash -- I don't even get to see the text. Have I got a bug?! What do I do?! Renee

Hahahaa... Oh, wait, that really isn't funny. Well, yeah it is.
Oh well, it happens... Probably missed during the packaging.

well, i'd just pop Photoshop open for the task. but free programs? not sure...
What you maybe could do with GraphicConverter (I haven't used it in forever, so i'm not sure what it can do) is make your whole photo grayscale, then bring in parts of the photo (a copy, rather) in color and paste them over top...

Is he the reason OS X has such bad opengl support?
I guess OSX just wasn't meant for gaming/serious 3D graphics work.
It's amazing that Core Audio/Core Midi is better than anything on Windows. But they can't do a great graphics API like Direct X or better Open GL implementation.

However, do you think we can change edesignuk's official title from mini-mod to mod mini, more inline with Apple's product naming scheme? :p
